Costuming, Prop building
Vinnie Lamborn was always artist since he was younger and growing up had a passion for cars and became an auto body technician. A few years ago a friend was making a costume for Halloween. It seem like a lot fun and different. I became interested in making my own costume. I didn't know anything or had anyone to talk to about costume building. So, I looked online and found an fx studio showing the process thinking that's how everyone was making they're costumes, but not realizing I was attempting to do advance professional work. I followed every step and made a lot of mistakes that became very costly, but I didn't give up. I started buying books, dvd's, online tutorials, and networking with other fx artists. This new obsession to become good at this hobby started to distract me from cars and as soon as I get off work I would rush home to craft until late night and repeat the process the next day. Eventually I got let go but it gave me time to focus on creating my own business and ever since then I haven't had the need to work at another autobody shop.
